Public Bus
To reach the Arizona Capitol Museum at 1700 W Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85007 from Scottsdale, head to the nearest public bus stop. You can catch the Valley Metro bus Route 50 from Scottsdale Road and Camelback Road. Ride the bus towards the Phoenix direction. Stay on the bus for about 40 minutes. Get off at the stop at 19th Ave & Washington St. From there, walk west on Washington St for about 5 minutes, and you will reach the museum on your left.
Light Rail
To get to the Arizona Capitol Museum using the Light Rail, first, find your way to the nearest Light Rail station, which may be the Scottsdale Rd & Camelback Rd stop. Board the light rail train heading toward the direction of the '1st Ave/Jefferson' station. After about 30 minutes, disembark at the 'Capitol/Van Buren' station. Once you exit the station, walk west on Van Buren St and then turn left on 17th Ave. Continue walking until you reach Washington St, then turn right. The museum will be on your right after a short walk.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct and convenient option, you can use a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride to '1700 W Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85007'. The ride will take approximately 20-25 minutes from Scottsdale, depending on traffic. Make sure to specify that you want to go to the Arizona Capitol Museum, and your driver will take you directly there.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-share programs available in Scottsdale. Start your journey heading southwest towards Phoenix. You can take the Arizona Canal Trail which will lead you towards the downtown area. Once you reach downtown Phoenix, navigate towards 17th Ave, then turn left onto Washington St. The Arizona Capitol Museum will be on your right after a short distance. The bike ride should take around 45-60 minutes.
