Discover the Majestic Snoopy Rock in Sedona

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Sedona Main Street area, head south on Main Street towards the intersection with 89A. Turn left onto 89A and continue to follow it for about 1.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the hiking areas. After crossing the bridge over the creek, look for a small parking area and trailhead on your right. From there, you can begin your hike towards Snoopy Rock, which is located about a half-mile up the trail. Follow the marked trail signs to reach the rock formation.

• Biking

  You can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Sedona, such as Sedona Bike & Bean. From there, head towards the Red Rock Ranger District Visitor Center located at 8375 State Route 179. Once you reach the Visitor Center, follow the paved bike path that leads you to the trailhead for Snoopy Rock. The bike path offers scenic views, and it’s about a 3-mile ride. Once you arrive at the trailhead, secure your bike at the designated bike rack and proceed on foot towards Snoopy Rock.

• Public Transport

  Although public transport options in Sedona are limited, you can utilize the Verde Lynx bus service. Take the Verde Lynx bus from the nearest stop to your location heading towards the Sedona area. Ask the driver to let you off at the closest stop to the Sedona Red Rock Visitor Center. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Snoopy Rock trailhead. Follow the signs towards the hiking trails, and you will see the trailhead marked for Snoopy Rock after a short walk.
