Chapel of the Holy Cross: A Spiritual Haven Amidst Sedona's Red Rocks

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Sedona Visitor Center located at 331 Forest Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336, exit the center and turn right onto Forest Rd. Walk for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with SR 89A. Cross the road carefully and continue straight onto the paved path that leads towards Chapel Rd. After walking approximately 0.5 miles, you will see a sign for Chapel of the Holy Cross. Follow the path uphill for another 0.3 miles, and the chapel will be on your left at 780 Chapel Rd.

• Public Transport

  From the Sedona Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop at the corner of 5th St and Jordan Rd. Take the Verde Lynx bus (Route 1) towards Cottonwood. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Chapel Rd stop. From there, walk up Chapel Rd for about 0.4 miles, and you will arrive at the Chapel of the Holy Cross located at 780 Chapel Rd.

• Biking

  If you have a bike, start at the Sedona Community Center located at 2615 Melody Ln, Sedona, AZ 86336. Head south on Melody Ln for about 0.3 miles until you reach SR 89A. Turn right onto SR 89A and bike for about 0.6 miles. Look for the Chapel Rd exit on your right. Take Chapel Rd uphill for approximately 0.5 miles, and you will find the Chapel of the Holy Cross at 780 Chapel Rd on your left.
