Travel for about 50 miles and then take the exit for SR-286 S towards Ajo. Continue on SR-286 S for approximately 30 miles until you reach the border with Mexico. Make sure to have your passport ready for border crossing. Once in Mexico, follow the signs to Sonora and then to Puerto Peñasco. After reaching Puerto Peñasco, head south towards the Gran Desierto de Altar. Be cautious of road conditions and ensure your vehicle is equipped for desert driving.
