Getting There

Public Bus
From downtown Tempe, walk to the nearest bus stop on Mill Avenue. Take the Valley Metro Bus Route 40 heading eastbound. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for the Saguaro Lake Recreation Area. Follow the signs to the lake, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
Rent a bike from one of the bike share stations in Tempe. Start at the Tempe Town Lake area and head east on the Tempe Multi-Use Path. Follow the path along the lake until you reach the intersection with Bush Highway. Turn left onto Bush Highway and continue for about 10 miles. Saguaro Lake will be on your left. The ride takes about 1 hour.
