Take exit 199 for AZ-88 N toward Apache Junction, and continue on AZ-88 N for approximately 9 miles. Turn left onto First Water Rd. Follow First Water Rd for about 2 miles until you reach the Massacre Grounds Trailhead, located on your left. There is no parking fee at the trailhead, but make sure to arrive early, as the parking lot can fill up quickly.

For those relying on public transportation, take a Valley Metro bus (Route 30) from the Phoenix area to the Apache Junction transit center. From there, you will need to call a local taxi or rideshare service, as there are no direct public transit options to the Massacre Grounds Trailhead. Expect the taxi fare to be around $15-$25, depending on traffic and time of day.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Apache Junction. Once you have your bike, head east on US-60 E towards AZ-88 N.
