    Getting There

    Driving

    Windy Point Vista is located off the Catalina Highway. From Tucson, take Tanque Verde Road east to the Catalina Highway (Highway 77) and turn north. The vista is approximately 18 miles up the highway. The drive takes about 30 minutes from the base of the mountain, but can take longer if you stop at other viewpoints along the way. Parking is free at Windy Point. Be aware that the road has steep grades and sharp turns.

    Public Transport

    To reach Windy Point Vista via public transportation, take a Sun Tran bus towards the Catalina Foothills. Transfer to a route heading towards Mount Lemmon or Catalina Highway, checking the schedule for limited service. From the bus stop closest to Mount Lemmon, a taxi or rideshare will be needed for the remaining 10-15 minute drive to Windy Point Vista. Taxi/rideshare cost from the base of Mt. Lemmon to Windy Point Vista is approximately $20-$30.
