Walking
From the center of Winslow, start at the Historic Route 66 Park. Head east on E 2nd St toward N Kinsley Ave. Continue straight to stay on E 2nd St, which will turn into E 3rd St. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto N Arizona St. Walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with E 8th St. Turn right onto E 8th St and continue for another 0.6 miles until you reach the entrance to the Little Painted Desert, located at Painted Desert Rim Dr. The scenic views can be enjoyed along the path leading to the rim.
Bicycle
Starting from the Winslow Visitor Center located at 523 W 2nd St, rent a bicycle and head east on E 2nd St towards N Kinsley Ave. After about 0.4 miles, turn left onto N Arizona St. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles, then turn right onto E 8th St. Continue along E 8th St for approximately 0.6 miles. You will find the entrance to Little Painted Desert on Painted Desert Rim Dr. Be cautious as you navigate the road, as bike lanes may be limited.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Winslow Amtrak Station, take the Greyhound bus service heading towards Holbrook. Inform the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to Painted Desert Rim Dr. Once you get off, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile southwest along the dirt path to reach the Little Painted Desert's viewpoint. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may vary.
