    The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center is located just off Interstate 40 at Exit 56. From Memphis, travel approximately 56 miles east. From Nashville, travel approximately 150 miles west. At the top of the exit ramp, follow the signs for the center, which is located behind the McDonald's and across from the Comfort Inn. There is ample free parking available for cars and buses.

    While public transportation options directly to the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center are limited, you can take a bus from Memphis to Brownsville. From the Brownsville bus station, you can take a taxi or rideshare service (such as Uber) to the center, which is about 5 miles away. Taxi/rideshare cost is approximately $15-$25. Alternatively, Haywood County offers a microtransit service called 'Catch a Ride' for $1 per leg of travel within the county, but requires advance booking.

The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center, located in Brownsville, offers an authentic Southern experience showcasing the history and culture of rural West Tennessee. The center features over 8,000 square feet of exhibit space dedicated to the region's heritage. Explore the world's only Tina Turner Museum, housed in the Flagg Grove School, where Anna Mae Bullock (Tina Turner) attended as a child. See photographs, costumes, and memorabilia from her illustrious career. The museum also includes the last home of Blues pioneer Sleepy John Estes. Other exhibits highlight the importance of cotton production in the region, the unique ecosystem of the Hatchie River, and West Tennessee's musical heritage. Discover the history of cotton, explore the scenic Hatchie River, and learn about legendary musicians who called West Tennessee home. The center also features three freshwater aquariums. The Flagg Grove School was built in 1889 on land donated by Tina Turner's great-uncle. The school was restored and moved to the Delta Heritage Center in 2012. The museum opened with the help and guidance of Tina Turner and donations from her fans.
