    From Hot Springs, take Highway 270 east, then turn right onto Carpenter Dam Road. Turn left onto Highway 290, then left again onto Highway 171. Follow Highway 171 directly into Lake Catherine State Park. Parking is available at the Visitor Center, picnic areas, and the marina. Parking can fill up quickly during the summer. Alternatively, from I-30 (Exit 97), go north 12 miles on Highway 171 into the park. There is no fee to enter Lake Catherine State Park.

Lake Catherine State Park, established in 1935, spans 2,180 acres on the southern shore of Lake Catherine, near Hot Springs, Arkansas. The park's history is intertwined with the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), who constructed its rustic stone and wood structures during the Great Depression. These structures, including cabins, bridges, and a former concessions building, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The park offers a wide range of recreational activities.
