Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start your journey from downtown Heber Springs, AR. Head east on AR-25 N (also known as 1st St) and follow it for about 3 miles. After approximately 3 miles, turn right onto AR-92 E. Continue on AR-92 E for about 6 miles until you reach the intersection with AR-16. Turn left onto AR-16 N and follow it for another 5 miles. You will see signs for John F. Kennedy Memorial Overlook. Follow the signs, and the overlook will be on your left. Parking is available at the overlook.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in the Ozark Mountains; however, you can take a bus to Heber Springs. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare to get to John F. Kennedy Memorial Overlook, as public transport does not service this specific location. A taxi ride from Heber Springs to the overlook will typically cost around $15 to $20, depending on traffic and exact pickup location.

• Bicycle

  For those adventurous enough to cycle, you can start in Heber Springs. Head east on AR-25 N (1st St) for about 3 miles, then turn right onto AR-92 E. This route is scenic but be cautious of traffic. Continue cycling on AR-92 E for about 6 miles and then turn left onto AR-16 N. The overlook will be about 5 miles ahead on your left. Ensure you wear a helmet and bring water, as this route may have sections without services.

• Walking

  Walking to John F. Kennedy Memorial Overlook from nearby Heber Springs is not recommended due to the distance and lack of pedestrian paths. However, if you are in the vicinity and wish to walk, follow the same route as for bicycles via AR-25 N to AR-92 E, then to AR-16 N. Be mindful of traffic as you will be walking along the shoulder of the road.
