    From downtown Eureka Springs, head east on Highway 62. Turn onto Passion Play Road and follow it to the Christ of the Ozarks. Free parking is available near the statue. Limited free parking is also available at the Great Passion Play.

    Eureka Springs Transit offers trolley service to The Great Passion Play, with access to Christ of the Ozarks by request on the Blue Route. From the Transit & Welcome Center or Planer Hill Park & Ride, take the Blue Route. An all-day ride pass is $6 for adults. Parking at the Transit & Welcome Center or Planer Hill Park & Ride is $5 per day.

The Christ of the Ozarks is a colossal statue that has become an iconic symbol of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Erected in 1966, the statue is located on top of Magnetic Mountain and is part of The Great Passion Play theme park. The idea for the statue came from Gerald L.K. Smith, and it was sculpted by Emmet Sullivan, who had previously worked on Mount Rushmore. Inspired by Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Christ of the Ozarks stands an impressive 67 feet (20 meters) high. The statue is made of 24 layers of white mortar on a steel frame and weighs over two million pounds. Its arm span reaches 65 feet, and the face alone is 15 feet high. The statue is built to withstand winds of 500 miles per hour and even has a feature to equalize pressure in case of a tornado. The Christ of the Ozarks is free to visit and is open to the public daily. From its vantage point 1,500 feet above sea level, the statue offers panoramic views of the surrounding Ozark Mountains and the Victorian village of Eureka Springs. Nearby, visitors can also find a segment of the Berlin Wall and a small chapel for meditation.
