    From the center of Alaverdi, head towards the bus station (Alaverdi Bus Station). Once there, look for a minibus or shared taxi heading towards Tbilisi. It's important to ask the driver if they are passing through Bolnisi or if they can drop you off at the nearest point. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. When you reach Bolnisi, ask the driver to drop you off near the Sioni Monastery. From the drop-off point, follow the signs to the monastery, which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill.

    Start at Alaverdi, and take a local bus or minibus to the city of Vanadzor. This leg of the journey typically takes about 30 minutes. Once in Vanadzor, transfer to a bus heading towards Tbilisi. Upon reaching Bolnisi, disembark at the Bolnisi bus stop. From there, you will need to either walk or take a local taxi to Sioni Monastery. The monastery is about 1.5 kilometers from the bus stop, roughly a 20-25 minute walk. Follow the road signs directing you to Tsughrughasheni.
