Getting There

Walking
From the center of Alaverdi, head south on Tigran Mets Street towards Yerevan Street. Continue straight for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Gharabagh Street. Turn left onto Gharabagh Street and walk for another 400 meters until you reach the bus station. From there, take a local minibus (marshrutka) heading to Tsaghkadzor. The marshrutka ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Tsaghkadzor, get off at the main stop near the town square. From the square, you can either walk or take a taxi. If walking, head east on Khachatur Kecharetsi Street for about 1 kilometer. You will see the Kecharis Monastery on your right as you approach.

Starting from Alaverdi, walk to the Alaverdi bus station, located on the main road. Board a marshrutka (minibus) that is going to Tsaghkadzor. The fare is usually very affordable, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once in Tsaghkadzor, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, you can either take a taxi or walk to the monastery. If you choose to walk, proceed along Khachatur Kecharetsi Street for around 1 kilometer, and you will arrive at Kecharis Monastery, which will be on your right.
