Getting There

Walking
Start at the center of Aparan, near the main square. Head east on the main road, which is called Tigran Mets Street. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading to Saghmosavank. Look for a sign indicating the direction to Saghmosavank. At this junction, turn left onto the smaller road. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers, passing through a picturesque landscape. You will see the monastery emerge on the horizon. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach Saghmosavank.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Aparan and ride east on Tigran Mets Street. Follow the main road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road that leads to Saghmosavank. Turn left at the junction and continue on the smaller road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, and you’ll enjoy beautiful views along the way. You'll see Saghmosavank ahead as you approach.

Public Transport
While there isn't a direct bus to Saghmosavank from Aparan, you can take a minibus (marshrutka) towards Ashtarak from the central bus station in Aparan. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for Saghmosavank. The ride is about 20 minutes. Once you get off, walk about 10 minutes along the road following the signs towards Saghmosavank, which will be visible in the distance.
