Public Transport
From Yerevan, take a marshrutka (minibus) to the town of Goris. The Kilikia Central Bus Station is the main departure point for southern destinations. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours and costs around AMD 1500-2500. From Goris, hire a taxi to the village of Karut, which is the closest village to Mount Aramazd. The taxi ride is about 30-45 minutes and should cost around AMD 3,000-5,000. Negotiate the price beforehand. From Karut, you'll need to hike to reach the mountain's base; consider hiring a local guide in Karut for assistance.
Taxi
While a taxi directly from Yerevan to Mount Aramazd is possible, it's a long and expensive journey. Expect to pay around AMD 20,000-30,000 for a one-way trip of approximately 3-4 hours. A more economical option is to take a taxi to Goris (negotiate a fare) and then another taxi from Goris to Karut. From Karut, you'll still need to hike to the mountain; consider a local guide.
