Karas Wines, located in the Arevadasht Community of the Armavir region, stands as a symbol of Armenia's revitalized winemaking industry. Founded by the Eurnekian family, who returned to their Armenian roots after establishing a successful winery in Argentina, Karas Wines combines the country's ancient winemaking traditions with innovative, sustainable practices. The name 'Karas' itself pays homage to the traditional Armenian clay amphora used for millennia to store wine. The winery's location in the Ararat Valley, under the gaze of Mount Ararat, provides a unique terroir. The volcanic soils contribute to the distinctive character of the grapes, which include both indigenous Armenian varieties and international grapes. Visitors can take guided tours of the winemaking facilities, explore the vineyards, and immerse themselves in the region's rich winemaking history. Wine tasting experiences offer the chance to sample Karas's diverse portfolio, from crisp whites to robust reds, all while enjoying the stunning views of the Ararat Valley. Karas Wines is not only committed to producing high-quality wines but also to preserving Armenia's winemaking heritage and supporting the local community. The winery's dedication to sustainability and innovation has made it a leading force in the renaissance of Armenian wine, attracting wine lovers from around the world.
