If you are traveling by car from Armavir, start by heading southeast on the M-1 highway towards Yerevan. Continue on M-1 for approximately 24 km until you reach the turnoff for the M-4 road. Take the exit towards Garni/Geghard and merge onto M-4. After about 10 km, follow the signs to Geghard Monastery. The monastery is located at coordinates 40.1404412, 44.8185299. Parking is available near the entrance. Be aware that you may incur costs for parking.

To reach Geghard Monastery using public transportation, first take a marshrutka (minibus) from Armavir to Yerevan. The marshrutkas frequently depart from the central bus station in Armavir. Once you arrive in Yerevan, head to the central bus station (Kilikia Bus Station) and look for a marshrutka heading to Garni. The trip to Garni will take about 30-40 minutes. Upon reaching Garni, you can either walk (approximately 3 km) or hire a taxi to take you to Geghard Monastery. Keep in mind that taxi fares may vary, so it's advisable to negotiate the price before starting your journey.
