Getting There

  • Car

    From Khor Virap, head southwest on the main road (M1) towards Artashat. Continue for about 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Berkanush. Turn left onto the road signposted to Berkanush. Drive for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the village of Berkanush. Once in the village, follow the signs to Avetis-Khetsi, which is located at Berkanush 0716. The attraction will be on your right. Parking is available near the site.

    From Khor Virap, take a taxi or a local minibus (marshrutka) to Artashat. The fare is typically around 200-500 AMD (Armenian Dram). Once in Artashat, you can catch a minibus heading towards Berkanush. It’s advisable to ask locals or the driver to let you know when to disembark for Berkanush. After arriving in Berkanush, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach Avetis-Khetsi located at Berkanush 0716. Ensure you have cash for the fares as card payments may not be accepted.

    If you already find yourself in Berkanush, navigate to Avetis-Khetsi by walking. Starting from the center of Berkanush, head southeast on the main road.
