Taxi
From the town of Sevan, a taxi ride to Sevanavank Monastery takes approximately 10 minutes. Taxis are readily available in the town center. Expect to pay around 1,000-1,500 AMD for the ride. The drive offers scenic views of Lake Sevan as you approach the peninsula.
Walking
From the base of the Sevan Peninsula, a stone staircase leads up to Sevanavank Monastery. The climb consists of approximately 230 steps and takes about 15-20 minutes. The path is well-maintained but can be steep in some sections. Take breaks as needed and enjoy the views of Lake Sevan along the way. There are souvenir shops and local vendors at the base of the peninsula.
Public Transport
From Yerevan, take a minibus from the Northern Bus Station to Sevan town; these depart frequently. The ticket costs around 500 AMD. From Sevan town, you can take a taxi to Sevanavank Monastery for about 1,000 AMD. Alternatively, you can take a train from Yerevan to Sevan town for 500-1,000 AMD, followed by a taxi to the monastery.
