Car
If you are traveling by car from any point in Lori Highlands, start by heading towards the town of Goris. From Goris, take the H45 road towards Tatev. Follow the signs for Tatev Monastery, which is approximately 20 km from Goris. The drive offers scenic views of the mountains and valleys. Once you arrive at the Monastery's parking area, you will need to walk a short distance to the entrance of the Monastery.

Public Transportation
To reach Tatev Monastery via public transportation, you can take a minibus (marshrutka) from Vanadzor to Goris. The ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Look for marshrutkas near the main bus station in Vanadzor. Once you reach Goris, you will need to switch to another marshrutka heading directly to Tatev. This second leg of the journey is about 20 km and should take around 30 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to Tatev Monastery, as some may only drop you off in the village of Tatev, from where you would need to walk to the Monastery.
