Car
From Yerevan, drive east on the M1 highway towards Garni. Continue past Garni village and follow signs towards the Geghama Mountains. Once you reach the entrance to the Geghama Mountains, look for a dirt road that leads towards Azhdahak Mountain. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended due to the rugged road conditions. Follow this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach a parking area near the base of Azhdahak Mountain. There are no entry fees for this area.
Public Transport
To reach Azhdahak Mountain via public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Yerevan to Garni. These minibuses leave from the Kilikia Bus Station and cost approximately 300 AMD per person. Once you arrive in Garni, hire a taxi or arrange for a local guide who can take you to the base of Azhdahak Mountain. The taxi ride from Garni will typically cost around 3,000 - 5,000 AMD and can take about 30 minutes, depending on road conditions. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
