Car
From Shirak, head east on the M1 highway towards Yerevan. After approximately 35 kilometers, take the exit towards Saghmosavan. Continue straight until you reach Saghmosavank, which will be located just off the main road. The exact coordinates are 40.380535099999996, 44.3967175. Parking is available near the monastery.
Public Transportation
Take a marshrutka (minibus) from Shirak to Yerevan, which can be found at the central bus station. The fare is approximately 500 AMD (about $1.30). Once in Yerevan, transfer to another marshrutka heading to Saghmosavan. The fare for this leg will be around 300 AMD (about $0.80). Inform the driver that you wish to stop at Saghmosavank. The monastery is a short walk from the stop, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.
