If you are driving from Yerevan to Geghard Monastery, start on the M1 highway. Continue on the M1 for about 45 kilometers until you reach the turnoff to the A1 highway towards Garni. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will see signs for Geghard Monastery. Follow the signs and drive for another 5 kilometers to reach the monastery. Parking is available near the entrance, but be sure to check for any parking fees.

Public Transportation
To reach Geghard Monastery by public transport from Yerevan, head to the Kilikia Bus Station. Look for a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Garni or Geghard. The ride takes about 1-1.5 hours and costs around 300-500 AMD (Armenian Dram). Once you arrive at the Geghard stop, it’s a short walk (about 1 km) to the entrance of the monastery. Be prepared for a slight uphill walk.
