Getting There

Car
From Kapan, head east on the Goris-Kapan highway (M2) for approximately 6 km until the turnoff for Halidzor. Turn left onto the road leading to Halidzor village and continue for about 3 km until you see a sign for Halidzor Fortress. Park in the designated area near the entrance and walk the remaining path to the fortress. Note that the road can be uneven, so a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. There are no parking fees.

Public Transport
From Kapan's bus station, take a marshrutka (minibus) to Halidzor village. Marshrutkas depart frequently. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes. From Halidzor village, you can walk to the fortress (approximately 1.5 km uphill hike) or hire a local taxi. The marshrutka fare is around 200 AMD. A taxi from the village to the fortress should cost around 1500-2000 AMD.
