From the Tatev Monastery, exit the premises and head towards the main path leading down the hill. Follow the signposts indicating the direction to the Barev Trail. The path will lead you through beautiful landscapes for approximately 1 kilometer to the start of the trail.
Public Transportation

From the town of Tatev, take a local minibus or taxi heading towards the village of Ttujur. Inform the driver of your destination, the Barev Trail. The fare is usually around 1000 AMD. Once you arrive at the nearest drop-off point, follow the signs to the Barev Trail, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the drop-off point.
Private Car

If driving, take the road from Tatev Monastery towards the village of Ttujur. Use GPS coordinates 39.393702, 46.258297 to locate the Barev Trail. There is a small parking area near the trailhead. Parking is free, but make sure to park in designated areas to avoid fines.
