Public Transport
To reach Hnevank by public transport, take a minibus (marshrutka) from Vanadzor to Kurtan. Minibuses depart from the central bus station in Vanadzor and cost around 300 AMD. The ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. From Kurtan, you can walk 2km to the monastery (30-40 minutes), or hire a local taxi for 1000-1500 AMD.
Car
If driving from Vanadzor, head southwest on the H24 road towards Kurtan. Continue for about 20km until you reach Kurtan. Look for a road sign indicating Hnevank Monastery, which is about 2km from the village center. Follow the signs to the monastery parking area. The drive takes around 30 minutes. Note that the road to Hnevank can be challenging.
Taxi
Alternatively, a taxi from Ijevan to Hnevank Monastery will cost approximately 3000-5000 AMD and take around 15-20 minutes. Agree on the fare before starting your journey.
