Lastiver Cave, nestled near the village of Yenokavan in the Tavush region of Armenia, offers a captivating blend of natural beauty and historical intrigue. This hidden gem is located in a deep gorge, approximately 130 km from Yerevan, characterized by lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and the Khachaghbyur River. The caves themselves are a complex of natural and man-made structures. During the Mongol invasions of the 13th and 14th centuries, the local population sought refuge in these caves. Adding to the allure, the cave walls are adorned with bas-reliefs, carvings, and sculptures that resemble pre-Christian rock paintings.
