Walking
From the center of Vayk, head south on Tigran Mets Street towards the main highway. Walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with the M2 highway. At the intersection, turn left onto the M2 highway heading towards Areni. After approximately 6 kilometers, you'll see signs for Areni and Areni-1 Cave. Continue walking for another 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the cave, which is located off the main road to your right.

Locate the local bus station in Vayk. Board a bus heading towards Areni. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Disembark at the Areni bus stop. From there, you can either walk (about 1.5 kilometers) or ask locals for directions to Areni-1 Cave, which is well-signposted from the bus stop.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Vayk. Start by heading south on Tigran Mets Street towards the M2 highway. Once you reach the M2 highway, turn left and cycle approximately 6 kilometers. Look for the signs directing you to Areni-1 Cave. The cave entrance will be about 1.5 kilometers ahead on your right.
