Getting There

  • Walking

    Starting from the center of Vayk, head south on the main road (Yerevanian Street). Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the signs that indicate Dzoragyugh; you will need to turn left at the intersection where you see a small park on your right. After turning left, continue for another 500 meters until you reach the village of Dzoragyugh. The entrance to Shoghakavank will be on your right after you enter the village, about 200 meters down the road.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Vayk. Start by cycling south on Yerevanian Street, following the same route as described for walking. The distance is approximately 2 kilometers, and it should take you around 10 minutes to reach Dzoragyugh. Once you enter the village, keep an eye out for the signs for Shoghakavank. The monastery will be located on your right-hand side after about 200 meters.

    To get to Shoghakavank using public transport, take a marshrutka (minibus) from the main bus station in Vayk towards Dzoragyugh. The ride will take about 10 minutes.
