Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest town in Vayots Dzor, such as Yeghegnadzor. Drive north towards Dilijan. Follow the M4 highway, which will lead you through beautiful landscapes. After approximately 1.5 hours, you will reach Dilijan. Once in Dilijan, look for signs directing you to Lake Parz. You will need to take a smaller road leading you towards the lake, which is about 15 minutes away from the center of Dilijan. • Public Transportation

  To reach Lake Parz via public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Yeghegnadzor to Dilijan. The journey takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Dilijan, you will need to hire a taxi or look for local buses that go to Lake Parz. The taxi ride from the center of Dilijan to Lake Parz should take around 15 minutes and costs approximately 2000-3000 AMD (Armenian Dram). Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

• Hiking

  For the adventurous travelers, you can hike from Dilijan to Lake Parz. After reaching Dilijan, follow hiking trails that head towards the lake. The hike is roughly 5-6 kilometers and can take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water and snacks, as the trails can be steep and challenging at times.
