Public Transport
From Yerevan, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Kilikia bus station to the town of Aparan. The journey takes approximately 1.5-2 hours and costs around 800-1200 AMD. From Aparan, hire a taxi to Lake Kari, the popular starting point for hikes on Mount Aragats. This final leg is about 30-40 minutes and should cost approximately 3,000-5,000 AMD.
Taxi
A direct taxi from Yerevan to Lake Kari takes approximately 2 hours and costs around 15,000-20,000 AMD. This is the most convenient option, especially for groups, but also the most expensive. Be sure to negotiate the price with the driver beforehand.
