Savaneta Beach: Aruba's Serene Southern Escape
Discover Savaneta Beach: A tranquil Aruban escape with calm waters, local charm, and a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and natural beauty.
Savaneta Beach, located in the oldest town in Aruba, provides a serene escape from the more crowded beaches. Once the island's capital until 1797, Savaneta retains a strong local vibe and a sense of history. The beach itself is a small, intimate cove, offering calm, shallow waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The presence of mangroves adds to the sense of seclusion and provides shaded areas. Savaneta's appeal lies in its simplicity and authenticity. It's a place where you can mingle with locals, enjoy fresh seafood at nearby eateries like Zeerovers, and experience a more laid-back side of Aruba. While it lacks the amenities of the resort areas, Savaneta Beach offers a peaceful retreat and a chance to connect with the island's natural beauty. The clear, turquoise waters are perfect for a refreshing swim, and the shallow depths make it safe for families with children. Snorkeling enthusiasts will appreciate the vibrant marine life just offshore, while those seeking relaxation can simply lounge on the soft sand and soak up the Aruban sun. Savaneta Beach is also known as Santo Largo Beach. Savaneta offers a unique glimpse into Aruba's past and a chance to experience the island beyond the tourist hotspots.
