From the California Lighthouse, head southeast on the main road (Route 1) towards Noord. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 2. Turn left onto Route 2 and continue for about 2.5 kilometers. You will see signs directing you towards the California Sand Dunes. Follow these signs, and after another 1 kilometer, you will arrive at the parking area near the dunes. Parking might incur a small fee, usually around $5.
Public Transportation

From California Lighthouse, walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 1. Take the local bus heading towards Noord. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the California Sand Dunes (ask the driver for the correct stop if unsure). Once you get off, walk approximately 1 kilometer following the signs towards the dunes. Be prepared for a short walk on sandy terrain. The bus fare is typically around $2.
Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Noord. A taxi ride from a nearby hotel, such as The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba, to the California Sand Dunes will cost approximately $16. Taxi fares start at $6, with an additional $9.66 per mile. Note that there is a surcharge of $3 added to the regular fare on Sundays, official holidays, and from 11:00 pm to 07:00 am.
