Car
If you're driving from Atherton, head south on Main Street towards the Gillies Highway (approximately 17 km). Take a right onto Gillies Highway (State Route 25) and continue for about 8.5 km. You will see the Yungaburra Platypus Viewing Platform on your left, located at 4434 Gillies Hwy, East Barron QLD 4883. There is parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach the Yungaburra Platypus Viewing Platform via public transport, take the Sunbus service from Atherton to Yungaburra. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Yungaburra, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km (about 20 minutes) along Gillies Highway towards East Barron to get to the viewing platform. Please check the Sunbus timetable for the latest schedules and possible fares.
Walking
If you're already in Yungaburra, you can walk to the viewing platform. Start from the Yungaburra Village and head towards Gillies Highway. Walk along Gillies Highway for approximately 1.5 km. The viewing platform will be on your left at 4434 Gillies Hwy, East Barron QLD 4883. It's a pleasant walk, so enjoy the scenery along the way.
