The primary access to Coochiemudlo Island is via the Amity Trader passenger ferry from Victoria Point. Ferries depart approximately every 30 minutes from early morning to late evening. The ferry trip takes around 10 minutes. As of September 2024, the fare is $0.50 per trip. Tickets can be purchased onboard.

To reach the Victoria Point ferry terminal via public transport from Brisbane, take the train to Cleveland station. From Cleveland station, transfer to the Transdev bus route 274 or use connecting bus routes 200 or 222 to reach Victoria Point Jetty. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the ferry terminal. A Translink journey from Brisbane to Coochiemudlo Island will cost between $8 - $55 and take approximately 2h 43m.
