Getting There

• Bus

  From Brisbane's Central Station, head to the bus terminal located adjacent to the train station. Board the 230 bus towards Murarrie. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the stop named 'Murarrie Station'. From there, walk east along Wynnum Road, then turn left onto the M1 highway, where you will soon see the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridges.

• Train

  From Brisbane Central Station, take the City Train on the Cleveland line. Alight at Murarrie Station, which takes about 20 minutes. Once you exit the station, head towards Wynnum Road and walk east. Turn left onto the M1 highway, and you will find the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridges in the distance.

• Bicycle

  If you are in the Brisbane CBD, you can rent a bicycle from a local bike-sharing service. Cycle south towards the Brisbane River and follow the river path until you reach the M1 highway. Continue along the river path and veer towards the bridges, which are located at Murarrie. This route is scenic and takes about 40 minutes depending on your cycling speed.

• Walking

  For an adventurous walk, start from the Brisbane CBD and head towards the South Bank Parklands. Walk along the river towards the east, following the riverbank trail. When you reach the M1 highway, cross the pedestrian bridge towards Murarrie. This scenic walk will take about 1.5 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the views along the way.
