Getting There

• Public Transport - Bus

  From Brisbane city center, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the 230 bus towards 'Lytton'. This bus departs from the Queen Street bus station. Make sure to check the current timetable as it can vary. Once on the bus, you will travel for about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop for 'South Street at Fort Lytton'. After disembarking, walk along South Street towards the park entrance, which is approximately a 10-minute walk.

• Public Transport - Train and Bus

  Start your journey by taking a train from Brisbane Central Station to the nearest station, which is 'Lytton'. From there, you will need to transfer to a bus. Take the 230 bus from the Lytton train station towards 'Lytton'. This bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Disembark at 'South Street at Fort Lytton', and then walk approximately 10 minutes along South Street to reach the park entrance.

• Cycling

  If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Brisbane. Follow the Brisbane River cycle path towards the east. Head towards Wynnum and then follow the signs to Lytton. The ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your speed. Once you reach Lytton, navigate to South Street where the park entrance is located.

• Walking Tour

  For the adventurous, you could consider walking to Fort Lytton National Park. Begin your journey from Brisbane city center and make your way towards the river. Follow the riverside path towards the east, passing through parks and scenic areas. This walk is quite long, approximately 13 km (around 3-4 hours), so ensure you have plenty of water and snacks. Eventually, you will reach Lytton, where you can walk along South Street to the park entrance.
