Victoria Bridge: An Iconic Link Over the Brisbane River

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Brisbane CBD, head south on Queen Street towards the Brisbane River. Once you reach the river, turn left onto the riverside path. Continue walking along the riverfront until you reach the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, which is located near the South Bank. From there, cross the road and follow the signs to South Bank Parklands. You will find pathways that lead you towards the Victoria Bridge. The bridge is located just before you enter the South Bank area, and you will see it ahead as you approach the river.

• Public Transport - Bus

  To reach Victoria Bridge by bus, head to the nearest bus stop in the Brisbane CBD. Look for buses that head towards South Brisbane, specifically any bus that includes 'South Bank' in its route. Alight at the South Bank bus stop. From there, follow the pedestrian pathways towards the river and you will see the Victoria Bridge ahead. It’s a short walk from the bus stop to the bridge.

• Public Transport - Train

  If you are using the train, take a train to South Brisbane Station. Once you arrive at South Brisbane Station, exit the station and turn left towards Grey Street. Walk down Grey Street until you reach the riverfront. From there, you will see the Victoria Bridge directly in front of you. Cross the pedestrian walkway to access the bridge.

• Bicycle

  If you are cycling, head towards the Brisbane River and look for the dedicated bike paths along the river. You can start from various points in the CBD, but the bike path along the river will lead you directly to South Bank. Follow the path until you reach the Victoria Bridge, which can be accessed via the bike lanes on the bridge.
