Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Queen Street Mall, walk south along Queen Street, then turn right onto George Street. Continue along George Street, passing Parliament House, until you reach the gardens' entrance. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes. No cost.

  • Public Transport

    From Central Station, take any bus that stops on Alice Street. Alight at the Alice Street stop near the Albert Street intersection. The gardens are a short walk from the bus stop. As of August 5th, 2024, all Translink public transport fares are a flat rate of $0.50 per journey.

  • Taxi/Ride-Share

    From South Bank, a taxi or ride-share will take approximately 5-10 minutes to reach the City Botanic Gardens via the Goodwill Bridge and Gardens Point Road. Expect to pay around $11-$14 for the trip. Note that drop-off areas are located on Gardens Point Road and George Street.
