From Byron Bay, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Jonson Street, near the Byron Bay Transit Centre. Take the 'Nimbin' bus service, operated by NSW TrainLink. Once you arrive at the Nimbin bus stop, walk towards the village center on Cullen Street. Continue along Cullen Street, which will lead you to Blue Knob Road. Continue straight until you reach the Pacific Highway (A1). Turn right and follow the highway towards Nimbin. Upon arriving in Nimbin, follow the main road until you reach Blue Knob Road, where the Nimbin Visitor Information Centre is located.

Walking to Nimbin from Byron Bay is quite a trek, approximately 20 km. Start by heading west on Jonson Street towards the Byron Bay Golf Club. From there, follow the path that leads towards the Pacific Highway. Once you reach the highway, you will need to navigate carefully along the shoulder towards Nimbin. It's advisable to walk early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the heat. After about 4-5 hours of walking, you will arrive in Nimbin. Look for Blue Knob Road as you enter the town; the Visitor Information Centre will be on your right.
