    From Cairns Central Station, catch the Sunbus route 110 towards Smithfield. The bus departs frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Smithfield Shopping Centre. Once you get off, walk towards the entrance of the shopping centre and exit onto Captain Cook Highway.

    After exiting Smithfield Shopping Centre, head north along Captain Cook Highway for about 500 meters. You will see a pedestrian crossing at the intersection with Dunne Road. Cross the highway and turn left onto Dunne Road. Continue walking along Dunne Road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance to the Cattana Wetlands on your right.
