If you are starting from the Cairns Esplanade, head towards Abbott Street. Walk along the Esplanade until you reach the intersection with Abbott Street. Turn right onto Abbott Street. Continue walking until you reach 161 Abbott Street, which is where the Cairns Self-Guided Heritage Walk begins. This is a pleasant walk of approximately 15 minutes.

Catch the bus number 110, 111 or 112 from any stop on the Esplanade heading towards the city center. Alight at the stop closest to Abbott Street.
