Cairns Koalas & Creatures at the Pier

Amazing experience made event better by Daphne!!

We were staying at the Hilton in Cairns and wanted to see if there is any place nearby that allows a photo with the Koala. To our surprise, we found this place just 8 minutes walking distance to the hotel. We walked over and were greeted by a wonderful smile of Dephne! We arrived at around 11:30 AM and the Koala photo had a schedule of 1:30 PM daily. We saw the place and were waiting on the bench when Dephne came back and said she and the staff will allow us to take a photo earlier so we won’t have to wait. They had a very slow morning and the Koalas had well rested so they made a call to allow us to take a photo earlier. Dephne and the two wonderful girls went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. I highly recommend coming to this place for Koalas since this is the only place in Cairns city area where you can hold a Koala and get a photo.
