From the Cairns City Centre, head north along the Esplanade. The Tip of Cairns is located at the very end of the Esplanade, approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon. Enjoy the scenic views along the way.

Public Transport
Several Sunbus routes operate along the Esplanade. Check the Translink website or app for the most up-to-date timetables and routes. Alight at a stop along the Esplanade and walk north towards the tip. A single paper ticket costs $0.50.

Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-share services are readily available in Cairns. A short trip from the Cairns City Centre to the Tip of Cairns will cost approximately $14 AUD, depending on the time of day and traffic. There is a taxi rank at the nearby Hilton Hotel.

Limited street parking is available along the Esplanade. Paid parking is enforced between 6am and 10pm, 7 days a week, costing approximately $2.20 AUD per hour. Alternatively, the Southern Esplanade (Lagoon) Car Park is a short walk away, offering 290 spaces. Parking here costs $2.20 AUD per hour. Free parking is available after 10pm.
