Getting there

Walking

If you are staying in the central area of Port Douglas, you can walk to Trinity Bay Lookout. Start by heading south on Macrossan Street, which is the main street in Port Douglas filled with shops and cafes. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Wharf Street. Turn left onto Wharf Street and follow it as it curves around towards the waterfront. After about 500 meters, you will reach Island Point Road. Turn right onto Island Point Road and walk approximately 300 meters. Trinity Bay Lookout will be on your left at 48 Island Point Rd.

Bicycle

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Port Douglas. Start from the rental shop and head down Macrossan Street. Follow the same route as the walking directions: turn left onto Wharf Street and then right onto Island Point Road. Cycling is a great way to enjoy the coastal views and should take about 10 minutes from the town center.

Public Transport

While Port Douglas does not have a robust public transport system, some local shuttle services may operate from certain accommodations to popular spots, including Trinity Bay Lookout. Check with your hotel or local tourist information for any shuttle services that may be available. If a shuttle is available, it may drop you off at a nearby point, from which you can walk the remaining distance of about 200 meters along Island Point Road.
