Get off the bus at the 'Commonwealth Park' stop. From there, walk south along the path that leads into Commonwealth Park. After about a 10-minute walk, you will reach Barrine Drive. Continue walking along Barrine Drive for approximately 5 minutes until you arrive at the Captain James Cook Memorial, located on your right.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Canberra. Start at the Canberra Centre and head towards the cycle path along Northbourne Avenue. Follow the bike path south until you reach Commonwealth Avenue. Turn right and continue cycling until you reach the entrance of Commonwealth Park. Once in the park, follow the paths towards Barrine Drive, where the Captain James Cook Memorial is located. It’s about a 20-minute ride.

If you are in the Canberra City Centre, you can walk to the Captain James Cook Memorial. Head south on Northbourne Avenue, and after about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Commonwealth Avenue. Continue straight into Commonwealth Park and follow the pathways that lead towards Barrine Drive. Walk along Barrine Drive for about 10 minutes until you see the Captain James Cook Memorial on your right. The entire walk should take around 30-40 minutes.
