Bus
From Canberra's city center, head to the Canberra City Bus Station located at 86 Northbourne Ave. Catch Bus 313 towards Tharwa. The bus will take you through the scenic route, passing various suburbs. Stay on the bus until you reach the Tharwa Village stop. Once you get off, you will see signs directing you towards Lanyon Homestead. It is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop to the homestead, taking you along Tharwa Drive.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Canberra. Start your journey from the city center and head south towards the Canberra Nature Park. Follow the bike paths leading to Tharwa. The route is approximately 20 kilometers and takes you through beautiful landscapes. Once you reach Tharwa, park your bike at the designated area and walk the remaining distance along Tharwa Drive to Lanyon Homestead.
Walking
If you're already in Tharwa, you can walk to Lanyon Homestead from the village. Start at the Tharwa Village shops and head south along Tharwa Drive. The walk is roughly 1.5 kilometers and takes about 20-30 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, and follow any directional signs for Lanyon Homestead.
