The oval's rich history includes sheepdog trials, military celebrations and even concerts.The ground has a seating capacity of 13,550, with an overall capacity of 16,000. Mature trees, planted in the 1920s, surround the oval, creating a unique and charming setting. Key features include the Bradman Pavilion, opened by Sir Donald Bradman in 1962, and the Robert Menzies and Bob Hawke stands, named after Australian Prime Ministers who championed international cricket in Canberra. The Jack Fingleton Scoreboard, originally from the MCG, adds to the ground's historical significance.Manuka Oval is the home ground for the ACT Comets and ACT Meteors cricket teams and hosts Australian Football League (AFL) games. The Greater Western Sydney Giants (GWS Giants) use the oval as a secondary home ground. The venue is equipped with modern amenities, accessible entrances, seating, and parent and baby facilities.
