Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the Cow Bay area. Look for signs indicating 'Cow Bay Beach' and turn left onto Buchanan Creek Road. Follow this road, and you will find the entrance to Cow Bay Beach on your right. There is parking available nearby. Be sure to check for any parking fees, which are typically around AUD 5-10.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transport, the Daintree River Ferry is a crucial connection. First, take a bus or shuttle service from your accommodation in Cape Tribulation to the ferry terminal (approximately 10 minutes). The ferry ride costs around AUD 16 for a return trip. After crossing the river, catch the Daintree Bus service that runs to Cow Bay. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the closest stop to Cow Bay Beach. From there, it’s a short walk to the beach entrance.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Cape Tribulation. Head north on the Daintree Coast Road, which is bike-friendly. It's about a 10-kilometer ride to Cow Bay Beach. Follow the same directions as for driving, turning left onto Buchanan Creek Road. Ensure you wear a helmet and stay safe on the road. Be prepared for some steep inclines.
Walking
For the adventurous travelers, walking from Cape Tribulation to Cow Bay Beach is possible but requires good physical condition as it is a distance of about 10 kilometers along the Daintree Coast Road. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water. The walk will take around 2-3 hours. Follow the road signs to Cow Bay Beach, and be aware of traffic, as the road may not have dedicated pedestrian paths.
